September 20, 2005SHADOWS FALL drummer Jason Bittner has lanched his official web site at www.jasonbittner.com.
Bittner, who is considered to be one of rock's premier drummers, is currently looking to take on some private-lessons students. If you are a drummer and are interested in learning one-on-one with Jason, please fill out the form at this location and hit the "submit" button. Your information will be reviewed and forwarded to the proper person.
SHADOWS FALL are currently putting the finishing touches on their new DVD, "The Art of Touring". "It's full of live footage, videos and backstage shenanigans from "The Art of Balance" touring cycle," the band write in a press release. "It was a ton of fun making it, and it's full of crazy debauchery and the classic hand-held camera footage you know and love."
Commented Bittner: "Yup, it's FINALLY going to come out, and I'm glad, because it was a pain in the ass to get this thing together WHILE we were on tour... But i'm really happy with how it turned out, and hopefully the fans will dig it too!!"
As previously reported, Bittner will be participating in the following drum clinics in September:
Sep. 25 – London, UK @ Drummer Live
Sep. 26 – Hamburg, GER @ Amptown Music
Sep. 27 – Ibbenbüren, GER @ Musik Produktiv
Sep. 28 – Karlsruhe, GER @ Rockshop
Commented Bittner: "I was asked to participate in Drummer Live last year and could not partake due to our touring schedule. I was asked again this year and fortunately I'll be able to be a part of it. Modern Drummer fest was great, and this will give me a chance to perform the same type of material for people on the other side of the ocean and I'm looking very forward to it!"
SHADOWS FALL are believed to be on the verge of signing a European deal with Roadrunner Records. The Massachusetts-based band, who sold nearly 250,000 copies of their latest CD, "The War Within", in the United States, have fulfilled their commitment to Century Media Records and are expected to sign a big-money major-label deal (possibly with Atlantic) for the North American territory.
